Jeanne LaVoy, Moderator WATS Cabin Stream
Jeanne began her career as a flight attendant for United Airlines in 1992. During her years with United Airlines she worked on a variety of special assignments. While recruiting, she attended career fairs, conducted open house interview sessions and interviewed flight attendant candidates at United’s headquarters. She has worked as a flight attendant instructor for new hires and line flight attendants, facilitating many courses including CRM for Flight Attendants and pilots. She served as United Airlines AFA Council 27 Health, Safety & Security Chair. She was a guest speaker at aviation training, safety and security conferences and trade shows worldwide. After presenting joint training in the Pilot Track at World Airline Training Conference & Trade Show (WATS), a Cabin Track was added. Jeanne has moderated and organized the cabin crew track for WATS for the past 17 years. She believes that quality training is an important and necessary investment for our crews. As a trainer for MedAire, she has trained airlines around the world on the Air Carrier Access Act Part 382 and has authored articles for aviation periodicals distributed worldwide. Jeanne has received several performance awards including Best Instructor, Presidents Club, United One Hundred, Focus on Safety Award, and Best in the Business. She has enjoyed working in many roles throughout her career in aviation, and recruiting is one of her favorites. Most recently she is excited to be working for GoJet Airlines as an Executive Pilot Recruiter which is the perfect place for her to land. Aviation is in her blood, whether it is in the cabin, cockpit, at the gate or in the air, she loves being a part of it and her goal is to continue to help make the industry the best it can be.
